Our B&B “La Magnolia” is located in Morciano di Leuca, a short walk away from the historic center (100 m), from the imposing medieval castle (150m) and from the many oil-mills dating back to antiquity. The town seems to have been a mercantile depository for the city of Vereto that was destroyed by the Saracens. ( Morciano is probably derived from the word merchandise).
We have 4 bridal suite size rooms with independent air-conditioning and heating, screens, refrigerator, hair dryer, digital TV. The suites have a private balcony where it is possible to enjoy a private breakfast.
There is an area that is available for relaxation and quiet reading and a common dining area where you will enjoy your breakfast.
A list of all ongoing local events will be available daily.
We have agreements with local restaurants; family owned eateries, auto, bicycle, and scooter and boat rentals and guided grotto trips.
We also have taxi service available to the Brindisi airport, the train stations at Brindisi and Lecce as well as taxi services for local excursions.
At just five minutes from the “la Magnolia” B&B you will find yourself on the long and fine beaches of Pescoluse or on the crystal sea of Torre Vado, famous for the Tower in the harbor a destination for divers interested in finding Turkish ship-wreak that sunk in these waters not many years ago in a depth of about 22 meters.
Driving about 5 minutes more you will arrive at Santa Maria di Leuca where the Ionian Sea meets the Adriatic Sea. This is the most southern point of Puglia. Infact we are located in Lower Salento.
