Gli Ulivi is located on a hill of the medieval village calledFrattavecchia situated just 3 km from Castiglione del Lago that is the main city of the area.
Frattavecchia is about 300 meters above mean sea level, in a good position that allow to see an amazing view of the surrounding countryside and Lake Trasimeno.
"Gli Ulivi" is in the center of this small medieval village which has a population of about 43 and there is all around the right tranquility that you are going to feel like living in another age very far from the frenetic modern world.
A few meters from the "Gli Ulivi" there is a very old baking oven. It is no longer working, but once it was used by the entire population by the women that once a week, in turn, churn out the bread and distributed it among the population.
The area is renowned for its extra virgin olive oil and wine exported around the world and for the typical Umbrian and Tuscan cuisine.
We have available a big apartment called “Gli Ulivi” overlooking the lake Trasimeno located on the first floor of the house, whilst on the ground floor there is a double bedroom called “Gaudio”.

“Gli Ulivi” boasts a good position that is ideal for your holiday or a short weekend, as it is located a few kilometers from the main artistic and cultural heritage cities of Umbria and Tuscany such as Siena, Montepulciano, Chianciano Terme, Chiusi, Panicale, Arezzo, Orvieto, Città della Pieve, Pienza, Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, etc.
It would be amazing to visit also the three islands of the Lake Trasimeno called “Isola Maggiore, Isola Polvese e Isola Minore.”
